On the occasion of the Tamil New Year, a drawing competition was organized for the children of the Eeram Foundation (near the Sithanandha Swamikal temple) in Pondicherry, India.

This initiative was led by KH Narpani Iyakkam of Pondicherry with the support of KHWAF.

The writer Bava Chelladurai (nicknamed Kadhai Solli, which translates to “storyteller”) was in Paris on August 24, 2022.

Bava is also an advocate for the rights of Indian minorities (untouchables, indigenous communities, etc.).

Some members of KHWAF attended a training session on organ and bone marrow donation awareness organized by our partner association, France Adot 75. The session was conducted by its president, Mrs. Yollande BERTRAND LABORDE.

Various topics were covered, including the historical evolution of the association and organ transplantation, as well as national and global initiatives.

The members had the opportunity to learn about the process of organ donation from both the donor and recipient perspectives, as well as the laws that regulate these procedures.

A big thank you to France Adot 75 and France Adot 91 for providing us with regular training since 2016!

Kamal Haasan Welfare Association France (KHWAF) would like to thank the responsible person from Secours Catholique in Créteil, Ms. Dolorès Adjovi, and her team for placing their trust in us. A big thank you to Mr. Marc POTELON, Regional Delegate of Ile de France for Secours Catholique, for his presence and encouragement.

A heartfelt thank you to all the members of KHWAF for their financial and human contribution to the realization of this project. We all had a moment of conviviality.

We would like to give special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Maurice GERART for the preparation of the delicious Indian meal.

December 2016 

Christmas meal with Secours Catholique

We contributed to the Christmas meal organized by Secours Catholique in Vitry-sur-Seine (94) by offering some appetizers (foie gras and smoked salmon).

December 2016 – Toy Drive

We organized a toy drive for Christmas, and the toys were distributed to children through Secours Catholique.

October 2016 – Stand on organ donation in partnership with France ADOT

As part of the India Day event, we hosted a stand on organ and tissue donation in collaboration with France ADOT at Massy.

September 2016 – Training session on organ donation for members

August 2016 – “Officially endorsed by Mr. Kamal Haasan himself”

We are officially part of the Indian federation of KH welfare associations, which has now become borderless.

Because organ donation concerns all of us, we underwent training to better understand its importance, legal framework, and to raise awareness among the population.

July 2016 – Awareness campaign on cleanliness

After observing a minute of silence on Place du 11 novembre 1918 (Gare de l’Est) for the victims of Nice, KHWAF members participated in a cleaning operation around the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. The aim was to raise awareness about cleanliness and engage with locals about our association and its actions. We received congratulations for our efforts.

June 2016 – Blood donation

On World Blood Donor Day, some members and friends of Kamal Haasan Welfare Association France (KHWAF) participated in a large blood drive organized by the French Blood Establishment.
